About the fiber

Merino de la Patagonia is 100% Patagonian merino wool from a regenerative origin verified by Land to Market™.

It is an exquisite fiber, with a soft texture and a lovely feel next to the skin. It is processed in small batches in our workshop in Loma Verde, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Verified regenerative origin.
The wool comes from carefully managed flocks, raised on farms where environmental outcomes and soil health are measured. Producers manage their land and livestock by following the rhythms of nature, supporting healthier ecosystems, greater biodiversity, cleaner water, and more living soils.

Animal welfare.
The wool is sourced directly from shearing farms that meet OVIS XXI’s advanced wool classification standards for Ultimate Merino Wool and the Responsible Wool Standard —RWS—, promoting respectful practices for the sheep and their environment.

Care

Hand wash in cold water with a pH-neutral wool detergent. Dry flat in the shade. Do not wring. For more details, visit the article: Caring for Wool

All our color skeins are hand-dyed with natural dyes. To learn more about this ancestral technique, visit the article: Hand-dyeing with Natural Dyes.
