Since the beginning of HUANACO, we have aimed to shed light on the value chain and discover what happens before the skeins reach our hands. Finding a network of producers, technicians, and professionals in Argentine Patagonia, committed to learning and continuously improving regenerative practices, has inspired us to continue valuing the fiber they obtain from their flocks.

These producers apply a holistic approach to livestock management, achieving regeneration results, as evidenced by soil, pasture, biodiversity, and carbon capture measurements from their monitoring efforts. They also use the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) for animal welfare practices.

At the forefront of this new productive model is Ovis XXI, who have created the first regenerative grazing certification for grasslands in the region (GRASS), which serves as the foundation for advancing to the next step: the Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV), an international, scalable, and accessible methodology that farmers and ranchers can use to measure regenerative outcomes on their land.
