A complete kit to knit a one-of-a-kind shawl, painted from our landscape.
This kit brings together everything you need to dive into Painting Shawls by Stephen West—a book featuring 13 shawl patterns designed to explore yarn as if it were paint.
The kit includes
1 Painting Shawls book (Stephen West)
1 bundle of 8 mini skeins of Merino de la Patagonia Single Fingering
2 full skeins of Merino de la Patagonia Superfine Fingering in Luz de Plata for the main color
We selected 8 distinctly HUANACO colors, inspired by our region and by the idea of painting with plants: noble, easy-to-combine shades that speak to each other.
The contrast isn’t only chromatic. The minis are spun single ply, soft and fluid, letting color bloom freely. The two base skeins, on the other hand, are two-ply Superfine, bringing definition, stability, and a different texture in every “brushstroke.”
The result is a shawl with visual depth and tactile richness.
Both yarns are produced in small batches in our mill, under principles of traceability, animal welfare and a commitment to positive impact from origin.
The result: a shawl with visual depth and tactile richness.
