Algodón del Litoral marked our first step into Argentina’s agroecological cotton supply chain. It comes from a small batch grown in Chaco and specially processed to preserve its origin and the distinctive identity of the fiber.
Its characterful texture, pleasant hand feel, and natural color make it especially versatile for knitting, crochet, macramé, and weaving. A fiber for creating baskets, blankets, cushions, wall hangings, and other useful pieces for the home.

About the fiber
The fiber was grown in 2022 following biodynamic farming principles, on land belonging to Indigenous communities in Chaco. Non-genetically modified seeds and rainwater were used in its production, without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
To process this small batch, a spinning mill in Buenos Aires thoroughly cleaned its machinery before beginning production. This made it possible to process the fiber separately and preserve the cotton’s distinctive identity.
Today, Algodón del Litoral returns in a new presentation, specially designed for home décor and household textile projects.
About its character
This is a natural, rustic cotton with a pleasant feel. Its undyed color preserves the fiber’s natural expression and pairs especially well with materials such as wood, wicker, jute, and ceramics.
As a natural material produced on a small scale, it may present subtle variations that are part of its identity.
Please note: due to the characteristics of this yarn, the cone may contain knots and visible joins.
Care
Wash in plenty of cold or lukewarm water with mild soap. Do not use bleach. Dry flat, preferably in the shade.
